We specialize in nonprofit growth strategy, revenue diversification, and infrastructure development—strengthening fundraising, governance, and operations, especially in times of transition. We also help families and individuals launch and steward foundations and donor-advised funds, providing trusted partnership and strategic clarity every step of the way.
Nathaniel Foster
Nathaniel Foster is a fourth-generation member of a five-generation family office, where he has served on the Board since 2010 and now sits on its Executive Committee, playing an active role in both investment strategy and governance. He is also the proud father of a spirited five-year-old son—one of eight members of the family’s rising fifth generation.
Nathaniel holds a BS in Business from the University of Denver and a Master’s in Nonprofit Leadership from Seattle University. With over two decades of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, he has worked across local, national, and international organizations to drive transformational growth and systemic impact.
Most recently, Nathaniel served as Chief Growth Officer at World Savvy, a national education nonprofit committed to preparing young people for engaged citizenship in a complex world. Prior to that, he was Chief Advancement Officer at Seneca Family of Agencies, overseeing all aspects of fundraising, venture philanthropy, marketing, and branding. Earlier in his career, he served as Northern California Executive Director of Playworks, where he expanded access to programming for hundreds of thousands of children, fostering leadership, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence in schools nationwide.
Nathaniel is the founder of Praxis Consulting, a strategic advisory firm that partners with mission-driven organizations and philanthropists to turn bold vision into measurable impact. Praxis specializes in nonprofit growth strategy, fundraising, and infrastructure development—helping leaders navigate change, unlock new revenue, and build long-term sustainability. From strategy to execution, Praxis ensures that good ideas don’t just survive—they thrive.
He currently serves on five for-profit boards and four nonprofit boards, and is the Chair of the San Francisco Chapter of the Private Asset Liaison (PAL) Group.
